Child Visitation Paralegal Services WA State
Visitation Obtaining or Modifying in the Parenting Plan
The difference between modification and obtaining visitation
Establishing visitation and modifying visitation are completely different processes involving different documents and procedures. You either have a court signed parenting plan, or you don't. If you have one, you can modify the visitation with a minor modification of the parenting plan. If you don't have a parenting plan, you have to establish one with the courts.
Minor parenting plan visitation modification
A minor parenting plan modification addresses only the parenting plan and does not change the amount of visitation by much, it can add a few weeks or take away, or restructure the time to accommodate new living schedules. It does not change the residence in which the children reside.
Obtaining your very first parenting plan
There are three services to obtain an original first parenting plan: divorce document preparation paralegal services; establishing parentage (unmarried parents) document preparation paralegal services; third party custody document preparation paralegal services (third party under construction), where somebody other than the parents get custody of the child.
